The Franklin Fine Arts Well-Being Campus Project (FFAWC) began in 2021 in the aftermath of a global Pandemic that claimed the lives of over 1 million Americans and 7 million deaths worldwide. Nearly 700,000 million people contracted the virus. Our Franklin Fine Arts Well-Being Campus workshops with 180 attending 4th thru 8th grade students began with the question, “How many of you have experienced trauma in these last two years?” A consensus of 100% of the hands went up. Students lost relatives to death, were isolated and traumatized. The (FFAWC) consists of an addition of 25,000 SF consisting of new fine arts classrooms, commemorative space, aetelier space, black box theater, gardens, well-being pavilion, transformed library and wellbeing classroom. The students and teachers contributed essential design ideas as well as identified many issues related to the well-being for the Franklin Community.
